Educational Drop In Sessions
We are intending, over the next few months, to introduce monthly 'drop in sessions' at each of our surgeries. These 2hr morning sessions will feature help and advice for patients. Topics will include:
- Healthy Lifestyle Advice
- Childrens Health & Wellbeing Advice
- Sexual Health & Advice
- Diabetic Management Health & Advice
- Chronic Disease Management Health & Advice
The sessions will be led by the appropriate professional ie Healthy Lifestyle will be presented by a Health Trainer - Childrens Health & Well Being by a GP - Diabetic Management by a Practice Nurse etc.
We would really welcome our patients input to this new and exciting venture.
We would also like to remind our patients that we are always looking for new members to join our 'virtual Patient Participation Group' where we e-mail our members to debate suggestions and ideas for future services to ensure we maintain the highest level of care for all. Please speak to a member of staff for more information.
i-Heart Barnsley Sunday Telephone Advice Line
Starting Sunday 17th April i-Heart Barnsley will introduce a telephone advice line between 9am and 1pm. Patients will be able to speak to a clinical advisor on the existing 01226 242429 number. Calls will be monitored closely over the next few weeks to understand local requirements for Sunday services. There will be no changes to weekday or Saturday appointments. For more information please visit www.iheartbarnsley.org.uk
You Said – We Did
As a result of comments from our patients regarding telephone access into the surgery we have decided to increase the incoming telephone lines. Work should be completed by the end of April 2016. We would like to thank everyone concerned for their input to this issue and look forward to your continued involvement to ensure we deliver first class patient care at all times.
